There is another cable attached to the throttle bracket on my injection pump that gets pulled toward the front of the engine when I give it throttle. It is not the throttle cable. This cable goes from the inection pump underneath the intake manifold and down and out the back of the engine after a bracket. Mine is frayed and is getting stuck. What does it do and how important is it to get fixed? Sorry I don't have pics now, I will try to get some tommorrow.
Thanks,
Kyle

I have a NA 83 6.2 with a 700r4, A/C, cruise control, and an EGR intake.
Just in case it makes a difference.

It does to the tranny, and any misadjustment will quickly frag the tranny..best do it soon.

GG is correct - this is not a condition to ignore. For lots of information about your transmission, go to http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/index.shtml and start learning about the throttle valve cable system.

OK , I will fix that tommorrow. That must be why it has been shifting hard from 1st to second.
Thanks for the link and the help,
Kyle
