Hi all
I have a Brand new DB2829-4879 injection pump.I was hoping to get a DB2831-4911,but high prices, and avalibility have not made this possible.I am going to install a turbo when i get all the pices built or bought.
Will this pump work with 6.5 injectors?
Will i need to turn it up to run with the 6.5 injectors in N/A trim?
Should i turn it up befor i install the IP,while it is easy to turn up?
Thanks in advance for all and any advice

You can use the 6.5TD injectors with your current IP. The 4911 has a different advance piston (shorter), and it has slightly larger plungers in the head. Though I know a certain naughty IP rebuilder that installs 6.2 heads on 6.5 4911 pumps when the 4911 head was bad. Probably works just fine for stock form, but won't allow the full potential like the 4911 head could when the pump gets maxed out.

So, if this is being done, why is there a problem using 6.5TD injectors with a 6.2 pump? I don't think that there will be much of an increase if any from the 6.5TD injectors, and it will change the injection timing (retard it) with 6.5TD injectors than with the 6.2 lower pop pressure. Just food for thought.

So the way I take it it is just a fuel volume change between the 6.5 and 6.2 pumps? I have a 6.5 turbo motor running right now while I work on getting my hands on the elusive and high priced 4911 pump.

Is the 4911 pump the same as the "marine" pump, good for 300hp??

No, the marine pump is DB2833 and has bigger plungers in it, that's the 33 on the end.
Marine pump has a lot more cappacity and a slightly different advance curve.
