Hey guys..another newbie being cautious

I just installed a Hot Juice, already have 4" SS exhaust and Amsoil air filter, BUT won't have time to install the pyro/boost gauge until next week.

Can't believe how nice the truck performs on L1. Soo..I'm anxious to try out L4.

What kind of EGTs will L4 bring about running empty? Safe enough to play a little before I get the gauges installed? :D

You shouldn't have a problem with short spurts on level four. I've only seen temps over 1200 degrees while towing...never while just running it hard.

hindsight being 20/20.........I would make several shift changes 1-5 in each power level and give the tranny time to adapt and learn the new power levels..........I think you will avoid the possibility of limping 5th if the tranny has time to adapt......you should be ok on egts........no towing above level 1 hot without guages...........if L1 excites you L4 is going to blow your mind............ :D dave
