I was watching a couple of vehicles on ebay recently and I saw a VW Jetta Diesel go for $1,500.00 over "High" blue book value!
According to the N.A.D.A. Guide book, This car should have sold for no more than $1900.00 and that is only if it is in flawless condition.
It sold for over $3,400.00! Just because it gets over 40 mpg???? Here is a link:
