05 or not ???

I bought a new 05 crew cab duramax on may 17 and I didnt notice until later that the date on the door said 08/04. Is this truck really a 05 with 310hp and 605 tq. or did my dealer gyp me ?? Any help would be appreciated!!!

If it is rusted up underneath and the hood flops around like a 58 Dodge 1/2 ton it probably is an 05!!!! Serial no should tell you what it is.

There were not building 2004 trucks in August of 2004. You just have one of the early 2005's.
