Is there a practical way to bypass the ignition switch and BCM for a non automotive application? I have installed an '02 Duramax into a boat and am trying to run it without a BCM.

I read the article by Tullio Celano (TDP Member #12728) and noticed that he created his own Passlock II bypass system, but he is still using the stock BCM (reprogrammed). Does anyone have contact info for Tullio?

The ECM looks for a "fuel continue" message from the BCM when the engine is cranked. If it doesn't see it, it won't run. Eliminating the BCM would require a special ECM program. Don't know of a way around that.

Tullio is hard to contact, and I haven't heard from him in quite some time. He's in the USN.

why not just use a BCM. It will still function w/ out all of it's inputs w/ the exception of the ignition.
