I just love the sound a Flowmaster muffler gives to a gas engine. Has anyone installed one on their Duramax? I really don't need to replace the whole exhaust, I just want to replace the muffler so I can still retain the stainless exhuast. I don't do much pulling, maybe a boat or camper trailer every now and then, so I fell a less restrictive muffler would be the best way to go. Also the cheapest. Id love to hear from anyone that has the flowmaster, and if so, which flowmaster are they using? 40, 50 series?

Greg...
If you go to Flowmaster's web site, they have a pdf for diesel and the Duramax is there. I think they replace it with a 3.5" made to fit.

I installed a Flo-Pro that is almost a direct replacement. You just have to add a little extra pipe on one end. The sound is great and it cost $160 installed. The part number is FP729.
