Low Fuel Light

I recently put on about 700 miles this past weekend and my low fuel light has been coming on soon after i fill up my tank, roughly 40 or so miles, it keeps coming on about every mile there after. it will stay on sometimes for a brief second and other times it will stay on for a min or so. Just wondering if it might be the sending unit, or could it be some other problem.

Mine started doing the same thing, drives me nuts. Dealer said it is the sending unit so they have to pull the tank to replace it, about 300.00 to stay sane!
