Why is it that the duramax exhaust smells so rich, like its running on too much fuel. All our 6.5s dont smell like diesels when they are idling how come the Dmax does. Also why is it that I always smell burining oil and raw diesel fumes, yet there is not one oil or fuel leak. No problems with the truck at all but seems pretty odd. There isnt plumes of smoke coming from the exhaust at anytime just really smells. Was wondering if the Dmax smells like this for a reason? Truck is a 2002 (yes it does have lopey idle) with 11,000 on her and yes I have the secretary typing away in the office tick!.
