Who all has sound clips that they could post? Anyone with a straight piped truck with a clip? I've heard the Banks kit, and just wondering what the others sound like.

I triued to get some sound clips before I straight piped mine. Unfortunately no one had a clip so I did it anyway.

You can hear a clip of John Kennedy's system on his website. Don't know of anyone with a straight-piped clip, guess I should have made one when my truck was straight-piped before I put the Banks on to show just how obnoxious it sounded! :eek:

DMAXDiva, I downloaded the Banks clips off your yahoo site. Sounds sweet. How was the straight pipe compared to it? Just alot louder? Or did it sound like a ole dump truck :D

Well, the best adjective I could use to describe the sound of my truck with the straight can't be ethically posted here on this forum, so suffice it to say that it sounded AWFUL. Now I know there are some guys here that have done that and like the sound; it just wasn't what I wanted. Personal preference... ;)

These sound bites are neat and all, but from behind the keyboard, they sound kinda loud. Acoustics of the area etc can play a lot into this...

With JK's system next to a wall or building and the windows down you definitly know it's not stock any more, but from inside the cab with the windows up it sounds great :D Not sure I would want a straight pipe :eek:

I have not heard the JK set up but I have DmaxDiva's and it is the best I have heard yet! :D

I like the sound of JK's system. You know it's there, but it's not obtrusive. As I posted a long time ago, when driving through town no old folks or cops or anybody look at me going by with disgust or anything if they even look. Sometimes you may catch someone giving a "Hmm, what's that?" look but nothing bad.

You'd have to ask the TX guys as they had a get together and should have had both systems present.

I doubt that there is significant difference, as both use essentially a straight through muffler. If one wants to be a bit louder (like SoMNDmax) I have a louder muffler OR go to the 5" muffler/tail!

I would deffinately be wanting the louder one :D Hehe wish I could get the stock exhaust off in about 15 minutes or so, I'd take it off and drive a new one around for a bit ;) How much more is the 5" muffler/tail over the 4"?

Btw, the sound clip on your site, is that the 4" or 5" exhaust?
