With the truck fully warmed up and at idle, the oil pressure gauge "bounces" around.

Is this normal or should I be getting worried?

I have checked and the oil level is fine.

Thanks

? How much does it bounce? Is the gauge following an unstable idle?

It moves from 35-45 according to the gauge. The idle appears to be constant, no noticable "surging".

Mine don't.

I don't think that it should be doing this. If it is under warranty I would take it to the stealer. If out of warranty I would first verify the gauge by connecting a direct reading pressure gauge. I suspect the sending unit or possibly the gauge cluster and not the engine oil pump.

It is still under warranty...I am sure they will tell me it's normal :(

Thanks for the input.

If they tell you that it is normal, have them show you this normal condition on another truck that they have on their lot
