I would like to replace the stock 245's with new 265's. Is this going to cause a lot of problems for the transmission? The most I currently tow is approx 7k lbs. I was at the beach this weekend and the 245's are definitely NOT for use on the beach :~<. I did NOT get stuck, but it was NOT fun either. I am looking at the BFG A/T KO 265's. Any suggestions, comments, etc.. appreciated.

BTW, should I have the latest TCM flash done BEFORE I change to the new tires? My truck was built in February 2002.

Thanks,

greg

Greg,
You should have no problems running the 265's on the stock PYO rims - many others here are running the same size without issues. The BFG's are great in about all conditions except mud.

As for the reflash, you should not need it for the tire change.

Greg, Pirelli just started making a 265/75 16 A/T E load. 130.00 installed at Discount tire.

265's are no problem except for speedo error, you will see very little error at low speeds say from 35 to 50 mph, above that it will be 2 mph to almost 3 at top speed. Example: speedo reads 65 mph, actual speed is 67 mph, hope this helps.
