Hmmm.

I've got a 2001 3500 EC with allison and Duramax. Prety much stock.

Would it be worth me heading up (from Salt Lake City)?

Never pulled sleds before whats the tricks? I qouldn't think the Allison would help much though, 1st gear is a dog.

the more the better. pulling is a ton of fun. there will be a couple of guys coming up from slc. the trick with the auto is to put it in low range and let her rip!!!! i could bring a bd amp box with me if you would like to try one. a freind of mine is a dealer and boy oh boy did that box wake up his truck!!

Sounds fun but how would my poor stock truck compete against:

dp member 470
2002 dodge qc etc 4x4, bd race tranny, edge comp box, bully dog 5's,powershot 2000, bullydog 5" and a custom nos system. afe mega cannon, kwikkurts b-1 bomber. and special thanks to www.BD-POWER.com www.smokindiesel.com & www.performancediesel.net www.piersdiesel.com

And all the other tricked trucks?

i am only pulling to get ready for a big pull in indiana. i only pull for fun. if your truck weighs less than 6500lbs you could whoop up on the gassers.

So would my truck be the only stock truck pulling?

Do they use the stock receiver hitch for hooking the sled to truck?

Are there any safety requirements (helmets, etc)?

If you like we can continue this discussion via email JimXXX@dynatecusa.com (remove the XXX).

26" hitch height. you need a clevis or something to put a 5" hook thru. a helmet is always a good idea.

if you can get down to 6500lbs there will be quite a few stock trucks. otherwise most of the diesels will be chipped i would guess.

Well I would be close to the 6500 lbs. Will have to go weigh.

All I have is the stock receiver hitch that is 21" from the ground. Will this work? How do other stock trucks hook up?

Is there anyone I could call to get more details?

Thanx

Hhhmmmmmmm, lemme think... the number 642 seems to pop into my head, along with the phrase "#2 only"....

Just can't remember where I heard it... :D

One of these days, I'm gonna see it in person. Then my wife will leave me and take all of the credit cards... ;)

As usual, these Cummins guys come over here all nice and innocent and ask if the Dmax guys can come out to play... then whammo, 626hp right to the forehead with a frying pan. LOL

Do I look that shtupid? Nevermind, don't answer that... tongue.gif

Well it's too far for me, but I sure hope someone goes up there and has a good time, sure sounds like it will be!
