Autozone Warning!

First off, I am a big AutoZone fan, even so far as driving past an Advance Auto Parts on the way to the A-Z.

I ordered a new master cylinder cap from them, and when it came in, it was way too small. In doing some checking with the manager, we discoverd that the AZ computers do not make any distiction between gasser and diesel 3500 DRW as far as the brake systems go.

Due the Hydroboost, the master cylinders are different than on a gasser. The manager said he will call it in to the zone office, but I would pay close attention when getting master cylinder parts from them.

I've had a couple things lately that I've found to not be in the computer correctly. As they say, "Garbage in, garbage out." The places that I have dealt with have all been good about sending things back and trying again, but that doesn't help when you need the part to put the truck back together.
