i have heard a stock exhaust straight piped and it sounds nothing like this. this is the way to go.

i also had the straight pipe flared so i didn't have to weld. it looks very nice and if i want to i could put my muffler back on.

Okay tmg, I'll bite:

Why don't you make an audio clip? I have rather painful memories of what my truck sounded like with a pre-Banks straight-piped stock system, so I'd love to be able to compare that with your set-up...

Earplugs anyone?

you don't need ear plugs at all. it realy isn't to much louder inside but outside is another story.

i don't know how to do a sound clip so someome would have to tell me how.

tmg:

I used a regular tabletop cassette recorder with an external microphone to get the Banks clips...no fancy recording equipment necessary.

Hey, if you're going to the Aug. 24th get-together in Dallas, I could hear it in person...I'm going to try my best to be there ;) .

Tom,

Do come to the GTG and I'll bring my digital camcorder and shoot some footage AND record your straight pipes and convert it into an mpeg. Or, I can convert it to a .wav file for audio only. No problem.

i might try and go out there for 10 mim or so just to talk in the parking lot and let you all look at the straight pipe.

if i go though i would be thankful if you didn't make any wise crakes about my age. i am young and nothing drives me crazy like someone who makes a crack at my truck saying a am a rich white boy. that aint true. i bought my truck and worked damn hard for it. i am ****y about that. so sorry.
