I saw some pictures today of a 04 2500HD and its accessories, in those pictures were the brake controller harness and a 7 into 4 adapter. Did GM finally hear enough grief about not including these and decide to "throw" them in with the truck?

Standard or optional accessories?

Probably in the small print (4 pt font) was the word "optional, available at extra charge"

Yeah the brochure I got with the 03 pictures showed the harness, but I sure never found it sitting in my glove box when I picked the truck up.

When I purchased my 03, I also purchased the brake contoller harness for $21.60. Included in the box was the 7 to 4 way adapter.

A friend just took delivery of his '04. The brake control connector was included. He got one with his '02, didn't with his '03. He raised such a stink in the showroom when he picked the '03 the salesman gave him the connector. When you buy 6 brand new (and expensive!) vehicles from a dealer in less than 5 years like he has, you shouldn't have to ask!

When I picked up my truck.I asked where it was since I had the towing package. He handed me a box with the harness & adapter in it.Tried to install my brake controler found out it didn't work & had to be modified, which they didn't know about. Thanks to TDP wires were swaped & works great.

Another thing- the '01-'02's for us northerners included a cold front and bumper cover. The '03s do not. Now, for '04, the cold front is a $50 option....

I doubt the towing harness and 7/4 adapter is a "throw in"... Probably a $20 option...

My 03 came with that cold front "bra" or whatever they call it. I will never use it living in No. CA. we are lucky if it gets below 40.

As for the harness and adapter, the photo I saw was a dealer selling an 04' with tons of pictures on the internet. He took pictures of everything that was included.

I don't think anyone got one with the 03's, unless you raised a stink. I just laughed when I saw that picture and it appeared they have started including it again.

WTF??? California guys get the cold front, but Minnesotans don't??

Wanna sell it? LOL!! Too bad it's for a GMC.

Maybe GMCs come with covers and Chevys do not?

Yep, my '03 came with the cover for the grill and bumper.

Test drove an '04 SS Chevy Truck this weekend, it also included the 7 to 4 adapter and brake harness in the glove box.

I got the winter cover/bra, and I shamed my dealer into the cable and 7/4 adapter.

Seems like delears and/or Chevrolet don't know what comes with the truck. I bought my '03 last November in Maryland and it came with the winter cover (bra) wrapped in a plastic bag stuffed in the back seat. My truck also came with a brake controller wire and a plug adapter. Both of them where taped in the glove box.

So *that's* what it is? Sheesh, it never even rains in Southern California. Or that's what the Beach Boys claimed.

Found it stuffed under the rear seat and I too thought it was a bra. Maybe I should visit my brother in Dead Lake MN this winter and try it out. But likely as not somebody'd steal it....

I've got mine too, (the bra) didn't know  what the darn thing was stuffed underneath the rear seat till I pulled it out and looked at it. Took 2 months to get my wire harness, because GM and their infinite wisdom ships everything separate...

Both my 2002 and my 2004 came w/ the wiring harness and the cold fronts. Both GMC's from different dealers...

Sneaks, let me know when you get in the area... :D I'm only about 2 1/2-3 hours south of there. Just park the truck outside.... I'll take care of the rest... :D

Still haven't made it in to the dealer. Good job for Friday, since I need to get my heated seats fixed....

I also got the winter front. Since I live in SoCal I will never need it. I hate the cold! If one of you guys who live in the cold want to move where you can wear shorts all year thats fine, but if you can't move then you can have my cold front bra thing. Just pay for the shipping and it's yours. Don't have a clue as to how much shipping will be, but if it's cheaper than buying a new one, (if the dealer won't give you one for free) have at it. First come.

I found my Cold Cover behind my driver seat. Gave it to my cousin to cover up the ugly front end on his 02 F**d. He used duct tape. It was his work truck. No kidding.
