getting ready to do my first dyno runs on a chassis dyno. i have done plenty on motorcycles but none on trucks. any tips or traps to know about?

i intend to do a baseline (4"exhaust/fipk), partial power v-a box, and full power v-a box runs.

i know tire pressure can make a difference but do not know what to run (265-e michelins normally set about 40psi). also, i seem to remember adding some weight in the bed aids traction and keeps it from slipping or jumping. how much is recommended?

thanks a bunch in advance

Get it up to FULL operating temp! A lot will depend on the dyno from there.

At BD, I learned how they set up the dyno, and also worked with Christian to show him how test in direct drive (Tech II needed)

Great experience!

As for slippage, it shouldnt be too bad with the 265s on your setup.

Also, don't feel bad if your numbers don't match up to others as what counts is the changes from your baselin. There are far too many variables in dyno calibrations/conditions to make accurate comparisons.
