There is a TSB on Dodge 1989-2001 Cummins Diesel engines 09-004-01.
It claims that certain aftermarket oil filters have neoprene seals that break apart and can cause major engine damage by clogging oil passage ways.
It also includes a strong warranty disclaimer and a warning against using non-approved filters.
Why bring this up in a GM forum?
Cause I'm sure the same could happen to us.
Buy what you like but check and make sure it's approved.
