Injector/Allison Problems

Has anyone else had my problems:

Bought a new 03 Chev, 2500HD,LS,CC,SB,D/A in March 03. After 350 miles, engine studdered (missed), check engine light-on. Dealer found injector #2 cross-threaded and replaced. At 4500 miles, same symptom, engine missed, check engine light-on, limp mode. Dealer found P0700,P0732 codes. Replaced entire Allison transmission. Just got it back. Is this type of failures normal ? Or do I have a lemon ?

Really love this truck, when it runs. First diesel rig.

Any comments ?

I had a few initial quality problems, but none of the ones that you did. I expect to have some issues to resolve with any domestic brand vehicle when new, even though many people have none to report. The important thing is what you are left with after these are resolved. Make friends at your service dept, and don't be too quick to call "lemon". Good luck. --Nick
