This is not hear say. I have seen the engine It is at the dealer as I type this. I went today and saw after the head was removed where part of what appears to be the piston skirt came apart and where it was jammed up between # 1 and # 2 piston. Am not sure just yet how or why it did this. The owner a friend of mine said he stopped at an intersection and it started to raddle then quit raddling. He started to drive across the street and it did ok then it started again. He then called a tow truck and had it towed to the dealer. Once they inspected it it was down hill for the engine. They have ordered a new replacement for it and are to send it back for inspection. This is the first I have heard of a true engine failure in our area.

That is great quality control numbers. Considering they make 150,000 per year for 2.5 years equals 375,000 units made and on the road. I have only read of 2 maybe 3 engine problems to date.
