My baby is 13 months old and has 20xxx miles.
She gets a wooping 12.5 MPG towing. I always tow with her so I can not say what she would do unloaded.

Over 40,000 miles of the total milage have been towing, half of that at a GCVW of 16,000, the rest deadhead at GCVW of 10,000.
No major problems, but the cost of ownership (depreciation, maintainance, fuel, oil) is about three times what it was for my '93 2500 Silverado.

Ok...how is everyone coming up with their numbers? I know how to find the hours, but what about avg MPG, avg MPH? I have a 2002 Dmax. and would like to know this information also. I will share that I bought it 8/29/2002 with @100 miles on it and it now has over 26,000 miles on it.

Last fill-up on:
2/16/2003 - Miles 19,020 - Hours 695.10
Truck was delivered to me with 3 miles on 2/15/2002. 1 Year ago.
Breakdown:
AVG. miles per month 1585
AVG. miles per day 52.11
AVG. hours per month 57.93
AVG. hours per day 1.90
My average mileage to date is not known. I would guess at 16.5 - 18 mpg though.

Swampmonster, it's all "rickey-matic" ;) Divide number of miles by number of hours and you get average miles per hour. As far as miles per gallon, you'll have to track and calculate that with something like the Excel spreadsheets that you can find in my signature below. My latest numbers:
48565 miles, 1163.0 hours
Average mph 41.8
Average mpg 18.7

Ohhh, my head hurts!
No way to go back and get that stuff huh! LOL :D
OK then, I "think" mines getting 33 MPG, must be, because I can go about 725 miles on a tank of fuel, maybe it's the 45 gallon tank doijnmg that ha ha ha, 5000 mile AVG. on oil changes, my OEM fuel filter picked up, to date 7 gazilliom free radical +2 micron bio hazards, my magnetic drain plug has yet to capture any free floating carbon based molecules and the Transynd has reported in with average high temps of less than 200 degrees.
All in all it's running just fine at $1.89 gallon highest I had to pay so far,

Figured I'd post an update.
My truck is now 2.5 years old.
Hours: 1718.9
Miles: 66329
Average MPH: 38.6 MPH
My baby will be 2 on the 28th of this month. At the last fillup, I had:
65,987 Miles
1457 Hours
45.3 Average MPH
20.4 Average MPG
In the last week, I changed from 255-85x16 Dunlop AT's to the 315-70x17 BFG AT/K-O. First tank was 19.8 with average speed of 64.5 MPH. Still within the average window, but to soon to tell what the tire change will do to mileage.
Until this week, the truck has never been in the shop since day 1. This week, I will have the hydroboost and clutch slave cylinder changed. I'm hearing an intermittent injector rattle. Hope to resolve this issue soon.

Our girl was new on 6-6-03 and now has 15,538 miles and 449.2 hrs. That 34.5 mph avg. Been getting 19+ since first tank solo and dont care towing just like to get there quickly!

My truck rolled off the line 10-28-02. I pick my truck up on 11-11-02 and as of 11-11-03 it had 25k with 1,110 hours. I have yet to see even 16MPG. This truck should last for long time. My 89 Chevy gasser had 500k and untold hours when I sold it. I had only "one" internal part go out and it was fixed in about 2 hours. However, I killed 8 trainies and 3 rears pulling too much heavy stuff. :D I guess if you "keep up" on the maintenance your truck will keep it's own.
