Injectors

When should a I look at changing injectors? Are there symptoms? Are there different ones to choose from for the 6.5 as replacements? Any one better than the other? I have 240,000 km (149000miles).

I changed mine out right at the 100,000 mile mark because of a noise coming out of #6 position. It didn't make any difference in the noise but other benifits included;
smoother running
better acceleration
15 degress cooler
a lot less smoke
easier to shift gears (standard)
Improved fuel mileage
I went with the stock injectors straight from GM because I was doing the work myself and didn't want to take a chance on putting in rebuilt units.
If you are going to do them yourself I can send you over the notes I made when I did mine.

Bought a remanufactered set(with return hose kit) from JK, installed them myself with perfect results. Mileage was about 111,000. Passed emissions with flying colors!
