Tach Sticks?????

After the truck gets to temp the tach starts to stick in certian spots.if i shut it down tach drops to 0 ...start it back up and tach stopps at 1000 or so rpm, even if i rev up to 2500 or so..would this be the tach itself or the signal going to it????help does the tach run through the juice??????? :confused: :confused:

Sounds like a gauge cluster issue.

Its on my duramax...i took cluster off and opened it up to see if it eas sticking but didnt find any thing....it like the signallto the tach get interupted any thoughts.....
