I got a new computer...........2.8 Ghz...512 MB DDR SDRAM memory...120 GB Hard Drive...DVD Burner. The works!!

Finally got enough computer to install my GM 1980-2003 GM Service Manuals. The info on the 01-03 Duramax is awesome. Total break down of the engine, how ro repair or replace components. Everything...bumper to bumper info...just like a dealer. I can even see the newest bulletins (and past), campaigns and preliminary information.

So....if anybody needs some help on anything, your GENERIC GM dealer is right here.

Mav,

Ok, still being new to the whole owning MY first truck (of anykind). You're saying there are service manuals that can be installed? How'd you come by those? or are those for maintenance, dealers, GM people only? If avail. for general use; which I gather they are from what you said, please share the wealth my friend :D . Thanks ever so much!

I got mine off EBAY. I did a search and found a set like mine.

The pro stuff. Don't know what color your truck is but I meet a lurker in Edmonton, AB that had a pewter truck with color matched Line-X on the rockers and I didn't even know until he told me. Looked excellent and has great protection.

They say it has the 96-97 engine and tranny stuff. How about the rest of the years? I would like to get this but if it does not include all years I don't want it.

Greg,
You would be correct. I put in 97 K series and it shows only engine-tranny-bulletins and campaigns. It does go bumper to bumper on the Duramax trucks which is what I wanted anyway.
I thought I remember seeing (ebay)programs specific for lower years.

The bumper to bumper info starts at 1998. This info is on ANY GM product. From Corvette to Cavilier. Before that it is only engine-tranny info.
