I have one of those cassete player things in dash and i cant recall ever seeing one with a CD player. I would very much like to have a factory CD player if they ever made one.
Thanks

Yes but it was not an in dash unit. It was under the passanger seat cartridge type that is so out dated that you can no longer get the Delco cartridges. I tossed mine in the garbage and bought a new one that works with the originale radio. I have installed a new unit in the dash on an other 94 I had but this truck I am just trying to keep the sound system stealth and use the factory head unit so it looks stock but use good speakers and amps.

I wanted to do that also, but could not get one. You can get aftermarket CD changers that are FM modulated, which means the sound is transmitted through an FM radio signal, but are kind of cheesy sounding. I ended up installing an indash unit where the factory cassette deck was. You can buy the center trim piece to match your interior color which houses the stereo. Also pull out the factory clock, radio control head and replace it with a pocket. If I remember correctly, all the conversion parts cost me about $50 at a stereo shop, and it does look very good once installed.

If they could use the remote changer units then an indash one from a '95 or newer should use the same plug.
Did they have a special radio for them?
