View Full Version : 2002 In For Rough Idle

I just brought my 2002 3500 in to Fitzpatrick Chevy in Concord, CA today to get several things looked at, including SES Light and a grinding noise when the clutch is depressed about an inch. I also told them about rough cold idle issues I've been having, and I'm wondering if this is the idle lope. Anyway, the first thing they told me is that the rough idle could be fuel related and that it is not covered under warranty. What the heck does that mean? That the fuel that's in there now may be causing rough idle, or that some fuel I've run in the past has permanently hurt my engine?

Anyone else run into this?

Thanks,

Gary

Basically, that means you had better make good and darn sure that you have GOOD, CLEAN, DRY, GASOLINE FREE fuel and a fresh filter BEFORE taking it in for service. Don't want any excuses for them to deny warranty...
