It also has an overtemp cut back as well. These temp limits are a VERY good thing!

John, Does the high temp cutout work off water temp also? The reason I ask is I pulled a few long steep hills on a recent trip without the water temp going over 200. I know the engine was warming up because the fan kicked in a couple times. Later! Lone Eagle

Yes, the temp management is all ECT driven.

The fan cut in you experienced was likely due to the extra heat generated by the intercooler...

Thanks John, I never thought about the extra load on the intercooler when the EGT goes to 1200. The fan shut down very fast after topping the hills. Later! Lone Eagle
