I just picked up the Transyd last week, and I am contemplating just paying someone else to flush my tranny and install new Transyd in it. I been reading alot of posts about just doing it yourself but really would like to completely flush the DIII for the Transyd. Now I know Its almost impossible to get every drop out but in previous experiences with the 4L80E Ive given trucks with black motor oil looking tranny fluid and had them come back with perfectly red fluid. A tranny shop near by charged $120, Im sure with me supplying my own fluid it will be even cheaper.Mackin told me that the Allys can not be flushed but I want to double check. Thanks In Advance. By the way, Chevyhdman, the recommendation NOT to power flush comes straight from Allison. It seems that a power flush is likely to damage o-rings in the unit.

The hoot "notes" method will do an adequate job of draining all the old non-syn fluid.
