One of my Dmax is about to turn 36M. I'm thinking about purchasing an Extended Waranty. Should I look at GM or the others?

I'm thinking the same thing, where do I get the warranty. I'm not so worried about the engine because we have 100,000 on it, it's the Allison that worries me. That part can get costly quick.

When I bought my truck at the end of last month used I bought a 2 yr / 24,000 mi bumper to bumper warranty on it and it cost me about $1500 or so (my payments went up by $5 or 10. Small price to pay for peace of mind especially when it's on truck that would be a big $ pit if something went north.

I did an extended warranty thread in August on this site that provided a lot of great information. As a result of it, several contributors here have since bought Warranty Golds 150,000 mile no deductable warranty that covers almost everything except normal wear items. The cost has been about $1800. I haven't used it, but several that had were very happy with it with no problems. You can pull up Warranty Gold on the net. Everyone was also happy with the GM except for cost and length. AAA was another mentioned with positive results.

Gardnerteam: That was an excellent site, they gave some pretty good prices and had a range of options to choose from.
