Will this be the 'factory' 4X4? I had heard that 4X4 C-4500 and 5500 models were to be made in-house.

Now you would think that GM would want to do the 4x4 since that was part of the reason to build this new model.To compet with ford 450-550 4x4 models :confused:

Was GM going to start production of the 4x4 on the 4500-5500 series truck for the 2004 production?And does any one have any good pics showing the 4x4 on the truck ,Monroes does not show the whole truck sitting flat.

It looks like the Izusu transfer case will be used. They've been making em for a while for other applications. They are GM's Japanese counterpart for trucks.
I wonder if they will be shift-on-the-fly.
