NV 4500 Help Needed!!
Need some help diss-assembling transmission. Long ride, cruising down Altomont Pass and the engine dies, feelas like I am dragging an ancor. Front seal went and pumped all the oil out. Now the Pilot shaft is welded in place. Tried vise grips, 2 lb hammer, wedges, it's not budging.
I guess it's time to get out the tourch! I want to salvage all the still good
parts.

Sorry to hear that! Beyond what you have already tried, I can't think of anything else that will help you. Good luck and hope you get it out.

Yep, talked to tech support at drivtrain.con out of Vegas and he agreed. Not much short of the blue wrench now. He did saw I will end up spending almost as much just for parts as what they would exchange it for. Least then I would have some warranty.
