6.5/ 6.2 rewiring. need some help ;-)

Hi again,

finally it is time to rewire my 6.5 Turbodiesel wich is supposed to go into my 84 chevy k5 blazer.

I have a new/nos 6.2 engine harness, so I decided to post my questions in this forum.

Well, here we go, this is what I have:

1. a nos 82 83 84 interior/dash harness, parts manual says for all models
2. a late 80s/early 90s matching 6.2 diesel engine wiring harness.
3. a 700r4 md8 with a manual/pressure converter clutch (transgo)
4. no emission controls



well, I already ordered the matching coolant temp sensor for my harness and finally was able to figure out where some of the connectors need to go.



1.my first question:

there are some connectors for the engine or emission control module and I do not know if I should remove this part of the harness or not?!

the harness is ment to go into the cab, there are two connectors for the ecm and one other I do not know what function it has ...?!

2. there are three connectors located close to the big firewall connector.

two of them are for the wiper, I already tried them out and they fit..

BUT: what's the third one?

Probably rear ABS sensor. The other harness going into the cab goes to the 6.2L PCM, mainly for emissions stuff, also for the glow plug inhibit stuff, which is the extra sensor on your other set of pictures in the other thread on the same loom as the injection pump. it's for a sensor.

This looks like my harness on my 1991 old body style 6.2L Diesel Suburban.

I'm getting a used harness from 89/90 the next few days, it should have everything I need (ECM, GP Card ... ) to install the new one in my truck!
