Stepper engine

Im getting fault code 34, the stepper engine, but having real problems finding a new one.
Correction, I have found 2 of them in the US, but Im not that interested when the stepper costs 50 bucks, and the shipment to Sweden costs 150 bucks.....!!

Ok, so far not so good, but now I found a guy in Stockholm that got three defect diesel pumps for 6,5 td engines. Hes willing to sell me the stepper engine I need if it is in working condition.

NOW to the problem. How do I know if a stepper engine for the diesel pump on a 6,5L TD is working ????
I have been surfing the web for several hours without finding any answers, or a person that could tell me how to test the stepper the bulletproof way.

Sooooo, if there is anyone here that knows how to do, please help...!!!!
