Put a Kennedy tune on it to see what it could really do... ;)
AAAWWWWSSSSUUUUMMMMMEEEE!!!!!
I would sure like to see one of these in person, or a set of drawings, to see how they got that engine in there and a front end strong enough to handle it and not have a horrible braking bias towards lifting the rear end when you stab the brake petal, but it looks like they have done it.
Thanks for sharing Jim.
And 50 mpg to boot!!
Jim, now you've got to answer back with your El Camino:)
Cheers,
George
Its says it has a 8 speed. Wonder what kind of trans that dmax is bolted to. Very intresting
Trident does have plans to eventually market the car in the U.S. Emissions certification might be a hurdle and way expensive... :( I had heard some time ago that GM pays approx $1.5M per emissions certification for the Duramax.
Don't know what was done, but they report that the Duramax 6600 weighs approximately 310Kgs (682-lbs) after having been modified for this application. The factory (unmodifed weight) is 380Kgs (836-lbs).
According to Trident, power is boosted to 375hp using a Van-Aaken module on level one, and 550bhp, 900 lb-ft torque on level two. :D

that car is awsome...and that top speed (170 mph) is the "limited" speed, I read this on one the pages "Computer calculations have been made suggesting a top speed of 230 mph". oh ya... remove the limiterQuote:
