How about a high miles contest?
Any year Duramax, highest mileage recorded on the odometer wins - your choice of any TDP Book.
If you win, we'll need a digital photo of the odometer and at least one good front 3/4 exterior photo, along with a couple paragraphs of text describing the truck's history and your use of it. The miles don't have to be all yours.
Let's begin by saying I've got 51,000 miles on my '01! :D

I know there are trucks out there with more, but my '01 just turned over 100,000!

Here is a 'high miler' '02...and what appears to be a SMOKIN' deal. I would consider the rolling chassis and tranny worth the current price. Even if the motor didn't go another 100K (which it likely would) you could drop a low mile LB7 from a wreck and have ~15K in this truck!!!
Too bad its only 2WD...

My 2001 Chevy 3500 Duramax/Allison has 160,700. Had the injectors changed under warranty at 65,000, but other than that no problems.

I also have an 01' 2500HD w/160K. Injectors changed, rear end seals and U-joint only issues. Actually still running original front brake pads.
-
My 03 has 60K. I had injectors changed last week. No other probs...been a great truck

My 01 has 139K, original brakes and original injectors!

My '01 GMC 2500 has a little over 170k miles on it. I gave it to my foreman when I bought a new '04. Tried to trade it with him but he said he would rather keep the '01. I have 4 other trucks in my business that I wish were Duramax's.
I had 4 injectors changed on the '01 under warranty, a water pump & an alt. but I still like the truck very much. I ordered it new in December of 2000 & got it in Feb. I only bought the new "Duramax" diesel after reading all about on this website.

I was informed today that my '01 truck has 220k miles on it! Time & miles just go buy to fast.
