GMC Yukon Diesel?

Hi-

I'm new here, so please excuse me If I'm asking something that was already discussed.

I've always wanted to have a Yukon with a diesel engine. Has anyone been able to fit a diesel into a yukon or know of someone who did? GMC sells some pick-ups with duramax I believe, but not the yukon from everything I have read.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

GM offered the 90's 2-door Tahoe and Suburban with the 6.5L diesel, but so far, have not produced any Duramax diesel equipped SUV's.

GM has had a diesel program for at least the past 5 years that has been testing a smaller V-6 diesel based on the Duramax 6600 (minus two cyls), and I've learned that there is another altogether different V-6 that has seen some development for the SUV market.

Whether either light-duty diesel becomes available is up to the guys at the front office... Those of us here hope they see the economic potential of a new diesel SUV offering.
