"This information applies to trucks with the LB7 and LLY Duramax diesel engine. A winter cover is included for use in cold weather states (fig. 12).

Thanks for posting that info/link. It reminded me that I hadn't been reading their monthly tidbits for a while.

Typo fixed. Also, while browsing TechLink, I noticed that the Sept 2003 issue addressed the shut down, belt check chirp some of us experience.
