"top forward edge of both mirrors I have a gap
between mirror base and truck door frame"
I looked at mine and there is a very slight space,
but I think you guys are just "nit picking"
This miniscule gap is not a problem as it's sealed
and will not permit water or air to enter where
the mirror is mounted on the door.
These Lucerix mirrors are definately the way to go
if you are towing or have a camper. Just my
humble opinion.
