    Sounds like someone tried to "cheap out" on the injector, probably saving a few pennies on the injector cost, and ended up holding up production and having to pay for the labor to replace the injectors on over 7000 engines after the fact.

    The old paraphrased adage is true: there is never time (or money) to do a job right, but there is always time (and money) to do it over!!

    I for one beleive they would have been better off sticking with Caterpillar as a supplier of the injectors rather than going with Siemens. Bein as they worked with CAT to develop the things. Makes sense to me? Ah well.
