    I am seriously considering an overdrive in my light truck just had enough .@ 3.00 pg it'll pay for it self in a short time period.....

    Reports from 6.5TD owners who have installed a Gear Vendors auxiliary OD suggest a 1-3 mpg improvement, depending on what diff gear ratio they started with. Slowing down a bit can yield nearly as good a result, with best fuel economy coming when running at the engine's torque peak - or no faster than 65-mph.
