    Hi,

I bought a receiver hitch at a garage sale last weekend and was hoping to bolt it on with out having to drill any holes but no luck. It looks like it lines up with the holes of the rear leaf spring perch which is held on with rivets on one side, does anybody else run into this before?

    Thanks,

    Tony

How did you buy a truck without a receiver? Is the one you bought for your truck? I would find one specifically for your truck. last thing you want to do is worry about your hitch. Or, worse yet, have it come loose.

It's a 1983 GMC when it was bought new they didn't even come with rear bumpers, I was told it was for my truck but the guy wasn't positive. It appears to bolt on to the bottom of the frame rails, does anybody know if this is correct.

    TIA

I had a 1990 Bronco that you had to drill out two rivets to mount the hitch so, it that is the case, it wouldn't be the only one.
