    Question

Well, yesterday was my first tow with my new Duramax with 2300 miles , while towing around 7000lbs at 65mph and a 68deg day my temp ran one mark before the 210 mark on my temp guage in which should be 200 deg or so. It usualy runs 3-4 marks before the 210 mark on normal driving. Is this about normal anyones help would be appritiated, would like to say tranny temp never even got to normal opperating temp, must be a good tranny cooler. Thanks david

    Cool

    DmaxDave:

My gage in the dash seems to be stuck at just before 210 whether I am towing or not. Folks that I have talked to say theirs does the same thing. On my Attitude the eng temps run in the 190s and when towing will warm to 210. The fan will begin to lock up around 205 and will quickly cool to the mid 190s.
I wouldn't place to much stock, in a stock gage. I like to see some activity on the gage and the stock gage seems to just stay in one place.

    DmaxDave - yes normal

Inspecter - seems there is a difference between your attitude and your OEM Temp Guage - Dave's and mine are the same. I have been hauling over
15,000 miles so far. Mostly at high outside temps
I also run on Synthetic 5W40 Rotella.

I believe that the Attitude takes the temp out of the computer. Where that comes from I don't know. I do believe that that temp is the truth.
I get no fuxuation in the OEM gauge but do on the Attitude.
