I have an '02 2500 6.0 with piston slap. Anyone know if the '04's have the same problem? Thinking about trading. Thanks.

My wife's 04 2500 Suburban 6.0L has no piston slap at 15K miles. My wife loves her Sub, but I think the 6.0 is anemic with the 3.73s. Now, if you are dead set on gettin' another 6.0 so be it, but my suggestion is get a new or used Duramax...you will be glad you did.

My 02 Avalanche 2500 4x4 8.1 has a piston slap and now with almost 90K miles on it (Last 25K with moderate to heavy towing) I gladly report no problems.

It's a great truck, and running strong.

It has a oil consumption concern 1qt every 2500 miles or so.

The oil consumption along with piston slap issues have been there from day one. No worse or better now with the miles on it.
