Thread: Franz by-pass oil filter

  1. #1

    Question

    Hello Dr. Lee,
Been wondering what your opinion of the Franz by-pass oil filtration system is. Have you ever used one or been around one? What are their limits or usefulness.

Also on the return line for bypass filtration why not punch a hole in the upper part of the oil pan then tap and thread a fitting in?

    Thanks,
    Ken

I think I can speak for the Doc on this one. He does NOT condone the use, nor the mere mention of using TP as an oil filter. Think about it....TP as a filter?

Stick with the tried and true.

    How's that, Doc?
