I'll be there!! I can't wait. It will be a nice warm-up to the MI GTG. If DHRA is sponsering this event, which I believe they are I plan on joining. I'm not fast enought to be competitive yet, but I'll get there. I'm only an hour away, so I will support the Dmaxes for all not in attendance.

This event is open to everyone. There is only one class with handicapped racing. Just run consistent and you may be in the money! The forecast looks cool, but dry. Hope to see everyone there!

I got my windshield replaced yesterday so I won't have my Duramax Diesel decal on the windshield. My truck does have Alaska plates on it still....only on the rear.

I was chatting with Jake99Z71. They took a portable torch out to it to heat up the tie rod and bend it back. It didn't break, just bent. He drove it away and it looked somewhat straight anyway. I'll start another thread with pics on this guy.

I can't believe I didn't meet Mav or Red at the Grove. I was running the only DMAX with NJ plates. I almost made it to the finals but broke out bad against a 12.92 Dodge. Had a great time!
I feel really bad for the guy with the bent tie rod. I hope everything is OK and he gets some serious rods for the next time. I will also be in Rapids next week where I hope to meet some of you guys. Where was Tomac when we needed a 12sec duramax to show the dodge the way! [img]smile.gif[/img]
Oh, BTW, the dodge broke something in the final but it was a cool Twin turbo.

Thanks to everyone for showing up! Let me know if you have any ideas on how to make it better for next year. For the first time, I think the event was a success. It was hard to keep track from our tent, but the Duramax trucks had consistently low times, compared to other brands with typical modifications.
