End-O-Summer GTG in Dallas

I hope eveyone's summer has been enjoyable. It is that time again...time for a get together in Dallas. I hope we can have a great turnout and enjoy talkin' diesels, talkin' trash, talkin' modifications, sippin' cold ones, and eatin' BBQ!!!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I didn't have any complaints about the location or food last time, so let's keep it at the same place. Gotta love the shade in the parking lot too!!!

When: 08/09/03 (Saturday), 6pm
Where: Pappa's BBQ at 2231 West NW Hwy (214-956-9038)
...which is roughly 10 miles north of downtown Dallas on I-35E
...which is across the street from Cowboy's Red River
...which is at the I-35E/Loop 12/NW Hwy split
...which is a few miles north of Texas Stadium

I will try to be there also, It will be nice to "meet" everyone.

What time does everyone wrap it up? My wife works Saturdays & does not normaly get off until 7:00 - 7:30pm or so. If you do not wrap up too early, I may wait until she is off before I/we head over.

Hey SB:

Nope, still runnin' the 16X8 Atlas rims, waitin' for this set of SuperSwampers to wear out before I get the Welds. May go with 35's next time; haven't decided yet...but the baja-mount spare has yet to see the ground, so I'll probably go back with 37's; I just hate that the gear-ratio has now been effectively reduced from 3:73 to 3:10! Thank goodness for Hot Juice...level 3 brings the old gal back to life, but I don't use that danger-HOT setting very often...uses too dang much diesel...

It's gonna be great to see the "old gang" again, and meet some new DMAXers as well...what a wonderful group of folks!

OK, Looks like I wil be get to be there!

My wife will be working, so by not waiting on her I can get there on time (if this small town boy doesn't get lost in the Big D).

So, will this be a BBQ & eats inside, with a D-Max "tailgate" party outside? I am really looking forward to seeing the fuel system/filter mods & chip sets

Will we need foldin chairs/ice chest/?? for the parking lot? (Not tryin to start anything, just want to be prepared!) . . . . I was'nt a Boy Scout, but I do try!
