Why were they removed? Any chance at pictures?

If they are in good shape I'd definitely be interested in them.

I tore the engine down because of a bad head gasket. The gasket was bad to long and the block deck needed to be resurfaced, so i am doing a cheap rebuild. I am putting a chain back in and selling these because the truck will only be used as a plow truck after i am done with it. I have pics, but not sure how to post them.

Thanks for the reply. I'll PM you with my e-mail address. If possible, could you send the pictures there?

Who made the gear drive? Why go back to a chain drive? I'm interested, but I've got an electronic motor. Are they different? Thanks.

Still interested if it is still for sale.

Restoguy - basically they are the same but for the electronic engines you need a "reluctor" wheel (I think that is the right term). So you can use a gear drive for an electronic truck on a mechanical truck just by removing the wheel, but you have to buy and add the wheel if going the other way. At least that is my understanding. And I think that DSG is the only one making a dual-idler gear drive.
