After many miles of an annoying rattle in my 1998 K3500 6.5's front end, I discovered that the the noise was produced at the front calipers. It seems that the rubber bushings that hold the calipers in place over the bolts are worn out. The bushings resemble a bicycle handgrip at around 3" long. I went to my dealer (and every other place I went to) offered me a kit with two o-rings and additional steel bushings. I am sure that these were replaced by the full rubber bushing. Nobody can get the proper part number. The ironic thing is that replacement rebuilt calipers contain these new parts. Does anyone know the number for this part?

    front calipers?
I found out that Auto Zone has rebuilt calipers at a low price. Why not just replace?
Went to open a bleader on mine and the bleader broke. I was sick thinking they would cost more than I had to spend at the time. Now I'm glad I did for the front brakes are braking more even than before. Use to have a little driver side pull.
