    Default opinion -

1- You should be looking for an aftermarket 3" turbo down pipe ( max you can squeeze in there) - they won't have the mangled structure of the factory finish.

    2. If you need to keep the Cat for visual inspection purposes, you can gut the kitty, clean out the litter, and re-hang the skin. Then you can go 3 or 3 1/2" on back from there.

    3. If you don't need the kitty, you can go a complete system.

You really want to consider Mandrel bent systems - Heath has a 3" I believe, and Kennedy has a 3 1/2", both can be had from the Turbo on back. ( and both are Page sponsors)

    Good Day!

What he said. The factory downpipe from any 6.5TD is something less than 3" diameter, & looks like it was run over on the highway. I thought folks were kidding when they said this until I looked at mine.

    Blessings!

I put John's exhaust on my truck and love it. BIG improvment and well worth it. Easy install.
