Question LBZ EGR Blocker Plate and Fingers Stick

Are there any negative side effects to installing the EGR blocker plate and fingers stick? I like the idea of keeping the exhaust out of my intake, but I want to keep my truck as reliable as possible.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the reply and info. I placed my order for a blocker plate and fingers stick yesterday. A 4" exhaust system will be next on my list, but I want to hear how loud the system will be before I do that. I like my truck quiet.

If you want a quiet 4" exhaust, consider the TTS system. It is all stainless, has a 40" muffler, and is as quiet as stock with no drone. I love mine.

TTS appears to only sell a cat-back system for the 2006 LBZ configuration.

    SSonnentag,

Did you get the blocker plate installed on your 06? How hard of a install is it? Am planning this for mine.

It's an easy install. It probably took me 45 minutes to install both the plate and the finger stick.

as long as you keep the cat converter there is NO way your truck will be loud! i just put a 4" mbrp system on my truck , just for a piece of mind I drove it with just the cat (no tail pipe or muffler.) I think most would be fine with a strait pipe (no muffler), if you want to keep the noise down install it.

My mbrp system has about a 30" x 7" round can thats strait threw , its only slightly louder then stock.

Kennedy's exhaust is great, not loud at all and absolutely no resonance. His full 4" exhaust is even quieter than mine.
